Objectives

Our Occupational Therapy program is designed to help children develop the skills they need to participate in daily activities, such as playing, learning, and self-care. We work with children who have a range of developmental and sensory processing disorders, cognitive problems, autism and ADHD. We help children develop their fine motor skills, sensory processing skills, and self-regulation skills. OT is the use of assessment and intervention to develop, recover and maintain meaningful activities, or occupations of an individual. Provide practical support to help people overcome barriers caused by illness, trauma, disability, ageing or accidents that are preventing them from having independent life. Empower people to carry out everyday tasks (ADL) or occupations with more confidence and independence in order to improve their health, quality of life and wellbeing. Tasks often relate to self-care, work or leisure. OT will help decrease tone, help kids play, improves their school performance, behavior modification, increase neck and trunk strength, treat spasticity, poor suck reflex (stimulating oral muscles), feeding and swallowing difficulties (we engage oral motor exercises aimed at strengthening oral muscles).
