Description
1. Leflunomide as a Reliable DMARD 2. Overview of HCQ role in rheumatology as a finest choice for African population
Objectives
1. To evaluate the comparative efficacy of leflunomide, methotrexate, and JAK inhibitors using key clinical outcomes such as ACR20/50/70 responses and DAS28 remission rates.
2. To apply ACR/EULAR clinical guidelines in the appropriate sequencing of csDMARDs, bDMARDs, and JAK inhibitors in treatment algorithms.
3. To assess the safety profiles of therapies by analyzing risks related to major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE), venous thromboembolism (VTE), malignancy, and infections in order to optimize patient selection and risk stratification.
4. To utilize real-world evidence on treatment persistence and sustained remission to inform shared clinical decision-making.
5. To implement practical clinical strategies, including monitoring protocols, washout procedures, and cost-conscious prescribing in routine practice.
6. Hcq in rheumatology
