Description
BLS INSTRUCTOR COURSE DESCRIPTION The Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor Course is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge, skills, and teaching techniques required to train others in basic life support. The course covers high-quality CPR, early recognition of cardiac arrest, effective use of an automated external defibrillator (AED), relief of choking, and team-based resuscitation. Participants will develop the instructional and assessment skills needed to facilitate BLS training and promote effective, timely responses to life-threatening emergencies.
Objectives
Demonstrate proficiency in high-quality CPR and basic life support techniques.
Apply current BLS guidelines in managing cardiac arrest and other life-threatening emergencies.
Effectively teach and demonstrate CPR, AED use, and choking relief.
Facilitate practical skills sessions and assess learners’ competency.
Apply effective communication, feedback, and teaching strategies during BLS training.
Promote timely recognition and response to emergencies to improve patient outcomes.
