Description
The Pain Free Hospital Initiative is aimed at improving pain management in Mwai Kibaki Hospital. Treat the Pain is the name of the Program aimed at achieving pain free hospitals. The program has run since 2015 as a partnership between the American Cancer Society (ACS) and the Kenya Hospices & Palliative Care Association (KEHPCA). The program will adopt lectures and PowerPoint presentations. The participants will get certificates at the end of the training session.
Objectives
1. Participants to gain knowledge in Classification of pain
2. To undertake effective Pain assessment
3. To understand modalities Pain management –Pharmacologic & Non-Pharmacologic
4. To manage Pain in special groups
5. To undertake Reflection on clinical practice
