Dr.
Esther Nafula
Palliative Care Specialist based at the Kenyatta National Hospital who heads the Pain & Palliative Care Unit. She is very passionate about palliative care and is actively involved in making services and education available in Kenya. Dr. Nafula has vast experience working in various set ups, hospital, community and hospices. She is a fellow of the Institute of Palliative Medicine, Kerala and holds a Master of Science and Diploma for Higher Education in Palliative Care from the Oxford Brookes University. She hold a Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Higher Education from the same University and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Nairobi. Her roles include clinical care of patients and families, teaching and mentoring in various palliative care programs for health care providers.
