Impacts of Technological Evolution on Endodontic Procedures and Outcomes: A Critical Analysis Based on Scientific Evidence
Sep 8, 2026

Description
Recent advances in Endodontics have led to the development of new instruments, techniques, and devices. Currently, advanced technologies are available at all stages of endodontic treatment to minimize procedural errors and adverse events, reduce treatment time, decrease patient radiation exposure, and provide greater comfort for both patients and clinicians. Despite these technological advances and their positive impact on endodontic procedures, the anatomical complexity of the root canal system, combined with the microbial diversity inherent to endodontic infections, remains a major challenge. This lecture aims to critically analyze the scientific evidence on the impact of technological evolution on endodontic procedures and outcomes.
