Objectives

By the end of this course, participants should be able to: Recognize the clinical signs and symptoms of Ebola Virus Disease and identify suspected cases using established case definitions. Explain the modes of transmission and apply appropriate infection prevention and control measures to minimize exposure and prevent the spread of Ebola. Describe the procedures for early case identification, notification, isolation, contact tracing, and referral in suspected Ebola cases. Evaluate health system preparedness and outline the roles of healthcare professionals in surveillance, outbreak response, risk communication, and community engagement in East Africa.
