Description
During MDT meetings, complex hepatobiliary cases are reviewed comprehensively, including clinical history, laboratory findings, imaging studies, pathology results, and patient comorbidities. The team collaboratively assesses diagnoses, disease staging, resectability, treatment options, and follow-up strategies. Discussions focus on developing individualized, evidence-based management plans that may include surgery, systemic therapies, locoregional treatments, endoscopic interventions, transplantation assessment, supportive care, or palliative care. The MDT ensures coordinated decision-making, timely access to appropriate treatments, and continuity of care throughout the patient's clinical journey.
