Description
This hands-on course introduces dental professionals to the principles and practical applications of soft tissue diode lasers in dentistry. Participants will gain an understanding of laser-tissue interaction, safety protocols, and the clinical advantages of diode laser technology in procedures such as gingivectomy, frenectomy, and periodontal therapy.
Objectives
Through guided practical exercises, attendees will develop essential skills in operating diode lasers, enhancing patient outcomes with minimally invasive techniques. The course is designed to equip clinicians with the confidence and competence to integrate soft tissue laser procedures into daily dental practice.

Kaaria Mwirigi
Dr. Mwirigi Kaaria is a prosthodontist registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) and teaches Prosthetic Dentistry in the Department of Dental Sciences at the University of Nairobi. He is a member of the International College of Prosthodontists (ICP), which focuses on research, education, and innovation in prosthodontics. Additionally, he belongs to the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and chairs the education committee of the Nairobi ITI study club. He was recently appointed as a key opinion leader for Ultradent Products, Inc for the East Africa Region.
