Since creation, spirituality and religion have been integral components in the life of man. Similarly, spirituality and religion have been employed for diverse reasons, including healing. In the recent past, health care providers have acknowledged the importance of incorporating holistic approach in health care settings as a way of addressing all the needs of a patient. Medical experts and healers have become increasingly aware of the importance of integrating spirituality and religion as part of holistic care model in medical practice. This course enables healthcare workers and service providers to understand the importance of holistic care which encompasses physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects of wellness. This will enable them to apply the above model in their practice. Goal and mission • Improve quality of care for patients • To provide training and capacity building of care providers on Holistic Care. Achievements and impact of CPD goals and mission • NAHEDO has managed to gather a team of experts comprising psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, clergy, occupational therapists and music therapists, to develop this 5 day course which has been peer reviewed and recommended for health care workers and care providers. • The impact of this course is to have quality patient management with better results. • This course needs to be integrated to teaching institutions and all CPD platforms to reach out to all health care workers
