Objectives
Identify common emotional and psychological stressors in young patients
Apply team-based approaches to effectively communicate with pediatric patients and their families, ensuring that medical information is conveyed in an age-appropriate, clear, and reassuring manner.
Implement strategies such as play , non-pharmacologic interventions and family-centered care to reduce anxiety and distress.
Collaborate across disciplines to create a comforting, child-friendly care experience that fosters trust, encourages patient participation, and empowers children to cope with their treatment journey.
