International Cancer Institute invites you to attend the ECSACO CME Lecture series held every 3rd Wednesday of the month on the Virtual Multidisciplinary Tumor Board platform. The topic of discussion will be Multidisciplinary Management of Head and Neck Cancers followed by an expert-led roundtable discussion on Wednesday, 21st August 2024 from 6.30 PM to 8.30 PM EAT

Objectives

To understand the management of various solid cancers and hematological malignancies To understand the importance of integrating palliative and survivorship care in cancer management To understand the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach in cancer management

  1. Dr. Sarah Muya
    Dr Sikudhani Muya is a consultant clinical and Radiation Oncologist, lecturer and Researcher at Ocean Road Cancer Institute (ORCI), and Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). She has received her Degree of Doctor of Medicine at University of Dar es salaam UDSM in 2004 and later her Master of medicine in Radiation Oncology at Witwatersrand, Johannesburg South Africa and she is a Fellow at Colleges of Radiation Oncology South Africa (FCROSA). She has also gained experience on pediatric Radiotherapy at Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg Academic Hospital (CMJAH), St. Lukes hospital, Dublin Ireland and Mayo clinic, Rochester, MN USA Her research interest is on clinical research and Global Health. She has co-authored several articles in peer reviewed International Journal and being Pi in several articles. She is a member of ESMO, AORTIC, MEWATA (Medical Women Association of Tanzania), Tanzania Oncology Society (TOS), Medical Association of Tanzania (MAT). She is also an active member African Cancer Coalition (ACC) which is partnering with American Cancer Society (ACS) and NCCN in developing Harmonized Guidelines for Sub Saharan Africa, where she has been involved in developing several guidelines including Prostate cancer, Breast cancer, Head and neck cancers and Pediatric cancers. Dr Muya is also an honorary lecturer on PHO (Pediatric Hemato-Oncology) programme and she is actively involved in developing Wilms Tumor treatment Guideline for the region.
