International Cancer Institute invites you to attend the ECSACO CME Lecture series held every 3rd Wednesday of the month on the Virtual Multidisciplinary Tumor Board platform from 6.30 PM to 8.30 PM EAT. The topic of discussion will be Multidisciplinary Management of SARCOMAS AND BONE CANCER followed by an expert-led roundtable discussion on Wednesday, 16th October 2024 from 6.30 PM to 8.30 PM EAT

Objectives

To understand the management of various solid cancers and hematological malignancies To understand the importance of integrating palliative and survivorship care in cancer management To understand the importance of a multidisciplinary team approach in cancer management

  1. Dr. Nicholas Okumu
    Dr Nicholas Okumu is an orthopaedic surgeon and a dynamic leader in the healthcare sector in Kenya. He has served as the Head of the Department of Orthopaedics at Kenyatta National Hospital and currently leads the Orthopaedic Oncology Unit at the same institution. He is an honorary lecturer in the Department of Surgery at the University of Nairobi. Dr. Okumu is also the CEO of Stratus Medical, a medical imaging and healthcare solutions provider in Nairobi. He is a 2024 Global Surgery Advocacy Fellow, a collaborative initiative by Operation Smile, the University of Global Health Equity, and the Nkafu Policy Institute.
