Description
The EPALS Provider Course is an intensive, competency-based training designed to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge and practical skills required to recognize and manage critically ill infants and children. This course strengthens the capacity to respond to pediatric emergencies and aims to improve survival and outcomes through high-quality, evidence-based care.
Objectives
1. Recognition and Assessment:
Accurately identify and assess signs of respiratory distress, shock, and cardiac arrest in pediatric patients.
2. Basic Life Support (BLS):
Demonstrate high-quality pediatric BLS, including effective chest compressions and rescue breathing.
3. Advanced Resuscitation Techniques:
Implement advanced airway management, establish vascular access, and administer appropriate pharmacological interventions.
4. Team Dynamics:
Function efficiently as a member or leader of a high-performance resuscitation team, emphasizing communication, coordination, and leadership.
5. Post-Resuscitation Care:
Provide evidence-based post-resuscitation stabilization and ongoing support to optimize patient outcomes.
