The PALS Provider Course is designed to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively manage critically ill infants and children. The course aims to improve outcomes for pediatric patients by enhancing the quality of care provided during emergencies.
Objectives
4. Recognition and Assessment: Identify and assess signs and symptoms of respiratory distress, shock, and cardiac arrest in pediatric patients.
5. Basic Life Support (BLS): Perform high-quality pediatric BLS, including chest compressions and rescue breathing.
6. Advanced Resuscitation Techniques: Implement advanced airway management, vascular access, and pharmacological interventions.
7. Team Dynamics: Work effectively as a member or leader of a high-performance resuscitation team.
8. Post-Resuscitation Care: Provide comprehensive post-resuscitation care to stabilize and support pediatric patients.
